Facebook's fault.......

As much as I like the options for customizing this blog, Facebook is much easier to use. At least for my lifestyle. I am embarrassed to see that a year has flown by since my last post. Oops.
It has been a busy year for sure. I cant believe that our little smiley Mallorie is finishing up 3rd grade & will be 9 at summers end. . .. She is very intelligent & happy most the time. She is quite a joy to be around & tends to be quite helpful.

Cameron is a busy little 4 1/2 year old boy. All boy! Mostly happy (unless he is over tired, then watch out) and very clever. He always has a story to tell. He tends to stay busy with toys but does happen to create "messes" for me now & again. Funny boy!
Besides work, home & critters, we try to get away for weekenders. We like to go camping and Bob is really into diving. The kids & I provide good shore support for Bob.

Well, maybe I will do better with blogging, maybe i wont. If you are really interested on keeping up with us, you can see us on Facebook. Updated a little more frequent. Have a great summer just in case i dont get back for a while.

Memorial Weekend

Normally we go camping, we get rained on and have a blast. But this year was a liitle different. We spent the week prior getting ready for a yard sale. We had a big sale on Sat and a rained out flop sale on Sun. I couldnt have pulled it off without the help from Nana, Bob & Mallorie. I should say Cameron helped too......he didnt destroy as much as he is capable of. After the sale on Sun, we went for a 6 hour drive up the Columbia River to Hermiston. Hermiston doesnt have a whole lot to offer but the drive ther and Back was beautiful.
Our reaseon for going to Hermiston is simple, crazy but simple. For a puppy. Not just any puppy, the Brindle English Mastiff I have always wanted. On my gosh she is adorable and so sweet. Anyways, We would like to introduce are new set of paws.........Madison (Maddie for short) She is 11 weeks.

Old Key West

What a beautiful Resort! Along with the beautiful landscaping and amazing pool, all of the "Cast members" were so accommodating. Day or night they were there to please. My sister and I got to go on a WILD moonlight ride on a extended golf cart. We were too tired to walk and after seeing the concierge tell many people "no" we decided to ask anyways. I guess we batted our eyes the right way cause he "whipped" us to our condo. Funny thing was, we passed all of the people he had already said no to. The condo was perfect plenty of beds, lots of bathrooms, great kitchen and laundry room and a big spacious family room. Being able to cook at the condo was wonderful. The grocery store was a quick cab ride away. The kitchen was fully equipped and the dining room table was large enough for us all.

The "hospitality" area was great. Bike, game and boat rentals, snack shack, game room, gift shop, showers, pool, play area and sand box. Everywhere you look there is beautiful landscaping. There was something new and magical around every corner. Even the animals were fun to be around.

The transportation systems throughout Disney World are great. Buses, cars, cabs, monorails, boats! Where are the planes? Whats even better is they put the Mickey logo everywhere they can. It was fun seeing "the ears" in so many places.

Getting back.......

I can't believe it has been 3 weeks since we went to Disney World. We haven't slowed down for a minute. Tuesday after we got home, I had a surgical procedure done. Unfortunately, it took a harder toll on me than it was supposed to. After 5 days with a fever I started getting my energy back. It is amazing how far behind my household gets when I am out of commission for a few days. Maybe one of these days we will get caught up. : P

A MAGICAL TIME......

Nana, my Mother, so graciously took my family and my sisters family to Walt Disney World for spring break. 12 of us, what a blast! We left Saturday night March 22nd. We arrived in Florida first thing after sunrise. After we got to the resort, we settled down at "Olivia's" for Easter breakfast, only to be greeted by Mickey & Minnie.

We got to spend day one hanging poolside At our awesome resort, "Old Key West". The Sand castle theme pool area was fully equipped, Dump trucks and shovels were at the sand box, floats & toys were already in the pool. The pool man brought out water balloon's for everyone to have a water balloon fight. The 2-story water slide exited out of a large sandcastle.

Our Villa was incredible. It fit the twelve of us very comfortably. Having the kitchen for half of the meals was the best. It definitely felt like we were "at home" Very accommodating facilities, everyone was aimed to please. The landscaping was beautiful. everywhere we turned there was lush foliage and flowers. Seeing all of the birds, squirrels and bunnies made it even more magical.

The first 36 hours of our trip were incredible. I will have to enter each day on its own posting due to the major amount of memories and excitement that I am still sorting out.
